FS2002, St. Kitts International Airport, Island of St. Kitts, Caribbean Region...TKPK

Description:

This scenery depicts the Robert L. Bradshaw International airport on the Island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. It contains the modern new terminal, along with the distinctive green glass tower, and outer buildings. It is a small airport which is located in a valley between two mountain ranges near the southern end of the Island. This location is best run with a terrain mesh of the area, and land class scenery of the Caribbean, since FS has sadly neglected it in this respect. I have included several smaller mountains which will hide under the terrain mesh to enhance the location for those who do not have the terrain mesh installed.

Installation:

1. Extract the file into your main FS2002 ADDON SCENERY folder, or into a temporary folder, and then place it there.

2. Run FS and go to the World tab, then go down to Scenery Library, and click on it. Click on Add Area, then find the ADDON SCENERY folder and open it. Find the SKitts folder within and click on it. The name SKitts should now appear in the title window, then click OK. The name SKitts should now be at the top of your Scenery Library list, then click the OK tab at the bottom and the scenery will begin to install.

3. That's it, Enjoy flying into your new airport!

Notes:

When flying this airport at night, you will notice some double blue edge lights on the taxiway leading out to the end of the runway. I did not wish to eliminate the default FS runway and tarmacs, but added a taxiway to complete the one which was cut off before reaching the runway in FS. It gets a little confusing in this area, but if you stick to the taxiway centerline you will make it through just fine.

Dedication:

Jose: Who I have no last name for, but sent me several pictures of this airport and a plea for me to do it. I normally do not do requests for airports unless they have something that inspires me to do them. Jose is a resident of St. Kitts, and has been in constant communication with me throughout this project. Thanks Jose for getting this one up and running!

Credits:

John de Langristin: for sending me some fantastic new tropical tree textures which enabled me to create the new trees used in this scenery for the first time. Thanks also for the great new very realistic car parks.

Tom Burnett: for his realistic airport service vehicles, a few which can be seen here.

Rafael Garcia Sanchez: for his wonderful Nova program, which was used exclusively to create the structures in this scenery, along with several of it's textures.
